My Sanyo PLC XU48 projector keeps switching itself off.?
We have a Sanyo PLC XU48 projector at church and on Saturday the 4th August in the midst of a big service the projector switched itself off. I switched it on again and it came back on.
Went back to church sunday morning and it worked fine, but inthe night service it kept switching itself off and this happedned about 5 times. Does anyone know what the possible causation is?
Some projector have thermal protection built in and if the internal temperature is too high it will shut down to prevent a fire. I would check the fan (and the fan filter if it has one), it could be clogged and needs cleaning. If there is a filter, it might be of the replacement type. Check the Sanyo website or instruction manual. I would also vacuum out all the dust if it's been running continuously. Dust is a major contributor to heat build-up.
